Q: How do I use the F9 - F12 as Function keys on my keyboard?

The streamlined keyboard (KB-0817) that was included with some Gateway® desktop computers does not have dedicated F9, F10, F11, or F12 keys. These four keys have dual functions for media control (default) or as Function keys.

To use F9 - F12 as Function keys, you must first press the FN key and then press the desired F-key. The FN key is the second key to the right of the spacebar.
To launch the Gateway Recovery process during startup, you must press ALT+FN+F10.
