Frequently Asked Questions Show Part Numbers Q: What is Remote Desktop, and how do I use it?A: Remote Desktop allows you to have access to a Windows session that is running on your computer when you are at a different location. This means, for example, that you can connect to your work computer from home and have access to all of your applications, files, and network resources as though you were in front of your computer at work. Note: Microsoft® Windows® XP Home can only function as a remote desktop client. It can connect to another computer's remote desktop, but does not allow another computer to connect to its desktop remotely. You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to enable the Remote Desktop feature.
