Windows NT Video Driver Installation

- Right click on an open area of the desktop, then click on Properties from the dialog box. Click on the Settings tab. Click on the Display Type button.

- In the Display Type window, click on the Change... button.

- The Change Display window appears. Click on the Have Disk... button.

- Place the driver disk in the floppy drive and click on OK.

- Cirrus Logic CL-GD54xx Graphics Adapter appears as the display type. Click OK.

- A warning about third-party drivers appears. Click Yes to proceed.

- Files are copied to the hard disk. When complete, a screen stating the drivers were installed correctly appears. Click OK

- Windows NT returns to the Display Type window. Click Close.

- Click Close at the Display properties window.

- Since the driver could not be loaded dynamically, Windows NT must be restarted. Click Yes.

- Upon reentering Windows NT, a screen about invalid display settings appears. Click OK.

- The display properties window is open. Click on List All Modes to display the different modes the video card supports. Make a selection, then click OK.

- Windows NT attempts to set the refresh rate, though this may be changed manually as well. When finished, click on Test to check the settings.

- The graphics adapter is set to the new mode temporarily to determine whether it works properly. Click on OK, then wait 5 seconds. A multicolored screen appears for testing.
- After 5 seconds, the screen goes back to Display settings and a window appears asking if the test bitmap was correct. Click Yes or No accordingly. If the test performed fine, click on OK. If not, test another setting.
- Click Close to accept the setting.
