Q: How much memory does the 995 server support?

A: The 995 server can support a minimum of 512 MB of memory and up to a maximum of 24 GB of memory providing that all 12 of the memory slots are populated with 2 GB DIMMs. When installing memory into the 995 server you must install four DIMMs at a time and into the same bank for the server to operate at 4:1 interleave. There are three banks of four DIMM slots on the memory card. Failure to install four DIMMs at a time and into the same bank will cause the newly added memory to not be recognized by the 995 server, and possibly cause the server to produce a 1-3-3-1 beep code.
