Q: What is the blue light on the front and back of the server for?

A: The blue light that can be activated and deactivated on the front of the 995 server is used to determine which server chassis you are working on. For instance, if you have many servers in a rack and you are in the front of the rack, you can press the ID button on the front of the server. This turns on the blue ID LED on the front and back of the server. When you move to the back of the server rack, you are able to easily identify which server it is that you are working on.
