Q: Can I install a tape backup unit or other device under the floppy/CD-ROM combo?

A: Yes. A tape backup unit is available that can be installed in the slot underneath the floppy disk drive/CD-ROM combo slot. As of the writing of this document (07/02/2003), the optional tape backup drive is the only device supported by Gateway for this bay. For installation instructions, refer to page 61 in the Gateway 975 Server Users Guide. This guide can be found on the Server Companion CD or the Gateway Web site.
