Q: What does the verify media option do in the SCSI BIOS utility?

A: The function of SCSI Verify is to run a surface scan over the entire drive to search for media errors. The verify command confirms that data blocks can be read without actually transferring the read data over the SCSI bus. If a block cannot be read, it is then reassigned or relocated to the end of the drive.
