Recessed switches and indicator LEDs This graphic shows the system reset (SYS) and power supply alarm (PS) switches and, located below the switches, the hard drive (HD) and power supply fault (PS) LEDs.

The recessed switches are activated by pressing a thin object, such as a straightened paperclip into the hole.

The following table provides more information about each switch and LED.

Item Description
SYS Switch Activate the system reset switch to reset the server without having to power it off and then on again.
PS Switch Activate this switch to silence a power supply fault alarm.
The power supply fault condition and LED do not return to their normal states until the faulty power supply is successfully brought back online.
PS LED When lit, this LED indicates that one power supply module has experienced a fault condition.
HD LED When lit, this LED indicates that one or more of the hard drives is being accessed.
