Pressing the Keyboard Inhibit/ECC Reset button once prevents unauthorized access to the system by disabling the keyboard, thus, preventing any keystrokes on the keyboard from reaching the system. Pressing it once again reactivates the keyboard again. To be an effective deterrent to unauthorized users, the upper bezel door must be locked in position to cover the button. |
Pressing the Keyboard Inhibit/ECC Reset button twice in rapid succession resets the blinking green Power On LED. This action does not correct the memory error, it just resets the LED.
