Q: How Is The Flash BIOS Updated?A: WARNING! Please pay close attention to the prompts and allow the procedure to complete without interruption. The Flash programming sequence can take 45 seconds or longer to complete. DO NOT shut the system off or reboot during the update process or your BIOS EPROM will be corrupted and will have to be replaced.
- Obtain the PROGBIOS.EXE program from the BBS, ALR’s Web Site or from Technical Support.
- Boot your system from a diskette which only contains the operating system.
- Insert the diskette containing PROGBIOS.EXE, and type:
A: PROGBIOS <Enter>
- The program will ask you to confirm the update. When you confirm, it will begin updating the BIOS. This will take 45 seconds, more or less, depending on your system speed.
- When prompted, press the reset button. The system will boot using the new BIOS information.
