Parallel Port
Part number NS9000
 |
| This port is provided for parallel devices such as scanners, and printers. Parallel ports send data one byte (8 bits) at a time. This port can be set to LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, or it may be Disabled through the BIOS Setup program. The parallel port can be configured to use the ECP/DMA Channels 1 & 2 mode, bi-directional mode, and output only mode. These settings can improve system performance by allowing faster data transfer, or can enhance system behavior. The ECP/DMA and bi-directional modes usually require special software to use these enhanced capabilities. Click on the hot spot for pinout information. |
