NVIDIA Windows nForce Drivers Installation

Note: Although the Gateway® System Companion DVD (SCDVD) interface can be used to install the chipset driver, it is recommended that it be installed by running the setup executable directly using the steps in this document.

  1. In Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server R2, place the Gateway® System Companion DVD into the optical drive, and then close the interface window that opens.

  2. Browse the SCDVD to the NVIDIA Windows nForce™ driver executable file, located at: (DVD drive letter)\DRIVERS\9422\CHIPSET\(W2K3X86 or W2K3X64)\Setup.exe. Double-click the file.

  3. In the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for NVIDIA Windows nForce Drivers dialog box, click Next.

  4. In the Select Features dialog box, make all desired selections or changes, and then click Next.

  5. System management bus driver components are installed.

  6. In the NVIDIA IDE SW Driver Information dialog box, after reviewing the information, click Next.

  7. In the Install NVIDIA IDE SW driver dialog box, click Yes.

  8. Driver components are installed.

  9. In the NVIDIA Windows nForce Drivers dialog box, determine if you want to install the NVIDIA and ForceWare Network Access Manager. Installation is not necessary for proper network driver installation. Click Yes or No.

  10. If Yes was clicked in step 9, components are installed. If No was clicked in step 9, skip to step 11.

  11. In the InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box, click Yes, I want to restart my computer now.
