Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I replace a redundant power module?

A:
  1. Determine which power module has failed. The light-emitting diode (LED) on the module turns off when the module fails.

  2. Loosen the thumbscrew that secures the module to the rear panel of the chassis.

  3. Press the locking tab toward the center of the module and carefully slide the module from the power supply.

  4. Slide the new power module into the power supply housing, verifying that the connector is firmly seated.

  5. Tighten the thumbscrew to secure to new module into position.
