Q: I have installed the ROMB option with the battery backed cache. Why do I repeatedly see a message during POST that the battery is low?

A: Note: This message also appears as a warning, even if the battery backed cache is not installed. The server detects that there is no battery on the cache module, and reports this as a low voltage. If you do not have battery backed cache installed, ignore this error message.

The ROMB battery backed cache battery must be charged for 96 hours before it has a full charge. If 96 hours has past, it is possible that the battery is defective. Reseat the power cable to the module as well as the memory module and see if it charges. If the warning still occurs after 96 hours, the battery backed cache memory module should be replaced.
