Note: The installation steps in this document can be used to install the driver using the Microsoft® Windows® Update Driver Wizard found in Device Manager. Alternatively, the driver can be installed from the Gateway® System Companion CD (SCCD) auto-run menu.

  1. In Windows Server 2003, place the Gateway System Companion CD into the CD-ROM drive. Close any windows that open.

  2. Open Device Manager.

  3. In Device Manager, under Other Devices, double-click one Ethernet Controller listed.

  4. In the Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.

  5. In the Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next.

  6. In the Please choose your search and installation options dialog box, select Search for the best driver in these locations, select the Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM) check box, and then click Next.

  7. The software is located and installed.

  8. In the Completing the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, click Finish.
