Q: How do I rebuild a failed drive in an embedded SATA RAID array on the Gateway 9315 Server?

A: Perform the following steps.

  1. Power on the server, and then, when the Intel(R) Embedded Server RAID Technology message appears at the top of the screen, press the CTRL+E keys.

  2. From the Main Menu, select Rebuild, and then press the ENTER key.

  3. In the next screen, select the failed hard drive, and then press the SPACE BAR.

  4. Press the F10 key to begin rebuilding the hard drive. Depending on the size of the hard drive, the rebuild process can take from several minutes to more than an hour to complete. The rebuild can be cancelled by pressing ESC.
