Gateway 9510 Server Intel PRO/1000 MT Dual Port Ethernet Controller Driver Installation

  1. In Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003, place the Gateway® System Companion CD into the CD-ROM drive. Close any windows that open.

  2. Open Device Manager.

  3. In Device Manager, under Other Devices, double-click one Ethernet Controller listed.

  4. In the Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.

  5. In the Welcome to the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next.

  6. In the Please choose your search and installation options dialog box, select Search for the best driver in these locations, select the Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM) check box, and then click Next.

  7. The software is located and installed.

  8. In the Completing the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, click Finish.

  9. In Device Manager, under Network Adapters, the driver is shown properly installed.

  10. Under Other Devices, remove the Ethernet Controller listed. At the top of the top of the Device Manager list, right-click the computer identifier, and then click Scan for hardware changes.

  11. The second Ethernet controller driver is installed automatically.
