Q: Where is the serial port on the back of the 9415, E-9415R, 9515, or E-9515R server?

A: The 9415 and 9515-series servers use an RJ-45 serial connector integrated on the motherboard. This can be converted to a DB9 serial connector with the proper cable kit. The RJ-45 to DB-9 cable kit is available from Intel. It is not available through Gateway.

The motherboard has an additional internal serial connector, which requires an internal to DB9 external connector that fits into the punch-out hole on the back of the 9515 server.
