Q: Can I mix memory in the Gateway 9115 or 9210 Server?

A: In general, it is not suggested that different vendor's memory be combined in servers. Subtle differences in tolerances arise by combining modules that are within specifications. These differences can cause anomalous behavior.

Gateway tests all server memory sold with this server to ensure proper operation. Gateway does not guarantee consistent functionality when mixing memory from different vendors. However, there is not a reason to believe that memory from mixed vendors do not function correctly in most cases.
