Q: Can I setup an adapter team using the network cards integrated into the Gateway 9115 and 9210 server motherboards?

A: Yes, the integrated network cards in the Gateway® 9115 and 9210 Servers do support teaming. Use the Intel® PROSet Application to configure and manage the team. Follow the steps below to setup a Fault Tolerant or Load Balancing team (the most commonly used types).

  1. To open the Intel® PROSet application, right-click the network adapter icon located in the system tray, and then click Open Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections.

  2. In the Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections window, from the Action menu, point to Add to Team, and then click Create New Team.

  3. In the Teaming Wizard dialog box, select the type of team to create, and then click Next.

  4. In the next dialog box, select the adapters to be used in the team. If there are only two adapters installed in the computer, both adapters are already selected.

  5. The next dialog box displays the team configuration. Click Finish.

  6. In the Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections window, the adapters are displayed in a team. Click Apply.

Remove an adapter team

  1. In the Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections window, from the Action menu, click Remove Team.

  2. In the Intel(R) PROSet for Wired Connections confirmation dialog box, Click OK.

  3. The team is removed.
