Hot-Pluggable Drive Bays

This chassis has six hot-plug hard drive bays. This allows hard drives in a RAID configuration to be replaced without shutting down the server. SCSI ID numbers are assigned to the hard drives based on which drive bay they are installed into. The top bay is ID 0 while the bottom bay is ID 5.

The hot-plug hard drives are fitted with a carrier, which includes a drive rail and a plastic carrier handle.
