Front Panel LEDs
Part number 3501128,3501223

The front panel features the chassis lock and five light-emitting diodes (LED).

  1. Chassis lock – Prevents unauthorized access to the front panel controls and to the inside of the chassis.

  2. Power LED – Glows green when the computer is turned on.

  3. Hard disk activity LED – Flashes green when data is read from or written to a hard disk.

  4. System fault LED – Indicates Error Checking and Correcting (ECC) memory system fault. A steady yellow indicates an uncorrectable ECC fault. The LED also illuminates if the front bezel is removed, when there is a chassis intrusion, or a system error that is logged in the DMI log.

  5. Power supply 1 status LED – Glows green when the first power supply module is on and working correctly. Flashes when power from that module is interrupted. This is only used with the optional N+1 redundant power supply.

  6. Power supply 2 status LED – Glows green when the second power supply module is on and working correctly. Flashes when power from that module is interrupted. This is only used with the optional N+1 redundant power supply.
