Hot-Swap Hard Disk Bays

The system has five hot-swap drive bays. The light-emitting diodes (LED) over each bay indicate drive activity and failure states. The light is transferred from the SCSI backplane to the front of the bays via light pipes. The drive connections on the backplane are identified from right to left, starting with ID 0 going to ID 4.
