Front Panel LEDs

The front panel features the chassis lock and five light-emitting diodes (LED). Refer to the following table for more information.

Item Description Function
A Chassis lock Prevents unauthorized access to the front panel controls and to the inside of the chassis.
B Power LED Glows green when the computer is turned on.
C Hard disk activity LED Flashes green when data is read from or written to a hard disk.
D System fault LED Indicates Error Checking and Correcting (ECC) memory system fault. Steady yellow indicates an uncorrectable ECC fault, and blinking yellow indicates a correctable ECC fault.
E Power supply 1 status LED Glows green when the first power supply module is on and working correctly. Flashes when power from that module is interrupted. This is only used with the optional N+1 redundant power supply.
F Power supply 2 status LED Glows green when the second power supply module is on and working correctly. Flashes when power from that module is interrupted. This is only used with the optional N+1 redundant power supply.
