Front LEDs

The front has four light-emitting diodes (LED) that indicate the current status of the computer.

  • Power on LED – Steady green indicates power is on and blinking green indicates the system is in sleep mode.
  • Hard disk drive (HDD) activity LED – Green indicates a hard disk drive is active.
  • Network interface card (NIC) activity LED – Green indicates local area network (LAN) activity.
  • System fault LED – Yellow indicates Error Checking and Correcting (ECC) memory system fault. A steady light indicates an uncorrectable ECC fault, and a blinking light indicates a correctable ECC fault.
