Q: How do I remove and replace a hot swap fan in the Gateway 9715 server?

A: Remove a fan

  1. Remove the case top panel.

  2. Inside the server, locate the failed fan.

  3. Squeeze the loops on the top of the fan toward each other, and then lift the fan out.

Replace a fan

  1. Slide the fan into the bay. It only fits properly one way - with the LED nearest to the front of the case. Do not force the fan into the bay.
