- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cords and device cables.
- Remove the computer's right side panel.
- At the rear of the computer remove the thumbscrew that secures the add-in card retention door.

- Swing the add-in card retention door open.

- For more stability, you can carefully lay the computer case on its left side.
- Inside the case, locate the add-in card slots in the lower rear corner.

- If needed, disconnect any internal cables connected to the add-in card being removed.
- Using a rocking motion, lift the add-in card out of its slot.

- Replace the right side panel.
- Connect the computer's power cords and any device cables that were disconnected, and then turn on the computer.
Replace or install a new add-in card
- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cords.
- Remove the computer's right side panel.
- At the rear of the computer, remove the thumbscrew that secures the add-in card retention door.

- For more stability, you can carefully lay the computer case on its left side.
- Inside the case, locate the add-in card slots in the lower rear corner.
- If this is a new installation, remove the slot cover from the slot you want to use. Keep the slot cover in the event that you remove the card at a later date.
- Align the add-in card with the open slot, and then firmly press it into place. Press both ends of the card to ensure that it is properly seated in the slot.

- If this is a new installation, follow any additional installation instructions that came with the card, such as connecting internal cables.
- If needed, stand the computer case up.
- At the rear of the case, close the add-in card retention door, and then secure it with the thumbscrew.
- Replace the computer's right side panel.
- Connect the computer's power cords, connect any cables needed for the new card, and any other device cables that were disconnected.
- Turn on the computer and then, if this is a new installtion, follow any additional installation instructions that came with the card, such as software or driver installation.
