Q: How do I remove and replace a floppy disk drive in the Gateway BTX server case?

A: Remove the floppy disk drive

  1. Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cords.

  2. Remove the computer's right side panel.

  3. Inside the case, locate the 3.5-inch drive bays near the front of the case above the large green air duct.

  4. At the rear of the floppy disk drive, disconnect the data and power cables.

  5. Slide the 3.5-inch drive bay release lever toward the rear of the case. When the bay is unlocked, an unlock symbol is visible.

  6. Slide the floppy disk drive out of the front of the case.

Replace the floppy disk drive

  1. At the front of the case, slide the floppy disk drive into the bay.

  2. Lock the drive into place by sliding the 3.5-inch drive bay release lever toward the front of the case.

  3. Connect the power and data cables to the rear of the floppy disk drive.

  4. Replace the right side panel.

  5. Connect the computer's power cords, and then turn on the computer.
