Q: How do I remove and replace a hard drive in the Gateway BTX server case?

A: Remove a hard drive

  1. Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cords.

  2. Remove the computer's right side panel.

  3. Inside the case, locate the hard drive bays in the lower front corner.

  4. At the rear of the hard drive, disconnect the power and signal cables.

  5. Slide the hard drive bay release lever toward the outside of the case.

  6. Slide the hard drive out of the bay.

Replace a hard drive

  1. Slide the hard drive into the bay.

  2. Lock the drive into place by sliding the hard drive bay release lever toward the inside of the case.

  3. Connect the signal and power cables to the rear of the hard drive.

  4. Replace the right side panel.

  5. Connect the computer's power cords, and then turn on the computer.
