  1. Insert the Server Companion CD (SCCD) into the CD-ROM drive. In the index home page window, click the 7450R button.

  2. In the left frame, click Windows NT.

  3. In the right frame, under Windows NT On-Board Drivers and Utilities, click Intel NIC 82559 Controller (7508722).

  4. In the Save As dialog box, save the file the root directory of drive C. The default file name appears in the File name text box. Click Save.

  5. Open Windows Explorer. In the left frame, click drive C. In the right frame, double-click the saved file.

  6. The path to where the file will be extracted is displayed in the ZipMagic Self-Extracting Archive dialog box. Click Next.

  7. Click Next.

  8. In the Destination Folder dialog box, click Yes.

  9. The files are extracted. In the ZipMagic Self-Extracting Archive dialog box, click Finish.

  10. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the Network icon.

  11. In the Network dialog box, click the Adapters tab. On the Adapters tab, click the first Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter (10/100), and then click Update.

  12. In the Windows NT Setup dialog box, type: c:\intel_nic (the default path for the driver extraction). Click Continue.

  13. The drivers are updated. In the Network dialog box, click the Adapters tab. On the Adapters tab, click the second Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter (10/100), and then click Update

  14. In the Windows NT Setup dialog box, type: c:\intel_nic (the default path for the driver extraction). Click Continue.

  15. The drivers are updated. In the Network dialog box, click Close.

  16. In the Network Settings Change dialog box, click Yes to restart the computer.
