ATI Video Driver Installation

  1. Insert the Server Companion CD (SCCD) into the CD-ROM drive. In the index home page window, click the 7450R button. In the left frame, click Windows 2000. In the right frame, under Windows 2000 On-Board Drivers and Utilities, click ATI Rage XL Video (7510579).

  2. In the File Download dialog box, click Run this program from its current location, and then click OK.

  3. In the Security Warning dialog box, click Yes.

  4. In the ZipMagic Self-Extracting Archive dialog box, click Next.

  5. The path to download the driver appears in the dialog box. Click Next.

  6. In the Destination Folder dialog box, click Yes.

  7. The files are extracted. In the ZipMagic Self-Extracting Archive dialog box, click Finish.

  8. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. In the Device Manager window, click Rage XL PCI (English). On the Action menu, click Properties.

  9. In the Rage XL PCI (English) Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab. On the Driver tab, click Update Driver.

  10. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next.

  11. Click Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended), and then click Next.

  12. Select the Specify a location check box, and then clear the other check boxes. Click Next.

  13. In the Copy manufacturer's files from text box, type: c:\qlogic (where c is the drive letter of the default location where the drivers are extracted). Click OK.

  14. The driver is located. Click Next.

  15. The driver is installed. Click Finish.

  16. In the Rage XL PCI (English) Properties dialog box, click Close.

  17. In the System Settings Change dialog box, click Yes to restart the server.
