Video - ATI Rage XL Video Driver Installation for the 7450R or 935 Series Servers in Windows NT 4.0 Server

- Insert the Server Companion CD (SCCD) into the CD-ROM drive. In the index home page window, click the 7450R button.

- In the left frame, click Windows NT.

- In the right frame, under Windows NT On-Board Drivers and Utilities, click ATI Rage XL Video (7510580).

- In the Save As dialog box, save the file to the root directory of drive C. The default file name appears in the File name text box. Click Save.

- Open Windows Explorer. In the left frame, click drive C. In the right frame, double-click the saved file.

- The path to where the file will be extracted is displayed in the ZipMagic Self-Extracting Archive dialog box. Click Next.

- Click Next.

- In the Destination Folder dialog box, click Yes.

- The files are extracted. Click Finish.

- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the Display icon.

- In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab. On the Settings tab, click Display Type.

- In the Display Type dialog box, click Change.

- In the Change Display dialog box, click Have Disk.

- In the Install From Disk dialog box, in the Copy manufacturer's files from text box, type the path to where the drivers were extracted. The default path is C:\ati_nt. Click OK.

- In the Change Display dialog box, in the Display list, click Rage XL PCI (English), and then click OK.

- In the Third-party Drivers dialog box, click Yes.

- Files are copied to the hard disk. In the Installing Driver dialog box, click OK.

- In the Display Type dialog box, click Close.

- In the Display Properties dialog box, click Close.

- The driver could not be loaded dynamically. Windows NT must be restarted. In the System Settings Change dialog box, click Yes.

- In the Invalid Display Settings dialog box, click OK.

- In the Display Properties dialog box, click Test.

- In the Testing Mode dialog box, click OK.

- A test screen is displayed momentarily. When finished, the Testing Mode dialog box opens. Click Yes if the test screen was seen correctly.
