Q: How do I copy music from a CD?

A: Use the following steps to copy (rip) music from a music CD. This step copies the music tracks from the CD to your computer You can then copy the music from your computer to the jukebox.

Note: Windows Media Player version 10 or later is required for these instructions.

  1. Place the music CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive. If you have an Internet connection on your computer, you can connect to the Internet to access the names of the album and tracks.

  2. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, and then click Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player opens.

  3. In Windows Media Player, click the Rip tab. The list of tracks on your music CD appears.

  4. Right-click the Rip title bar, point to Tools, and then click Options.

  5. In the Options window, click the Rip Music tab.

  6. On the Rip Music tab, Click the Format box, click MP3 or WMA, and then click OK.

    Note: You only have to select the format once. You do not need to perform this step the next time you rip music.

  7. Click the check box next to each track you want to copy, then click Rip Music. The tracks are copied to your computer and are added to your Media Player Library.
