This is a view of the MP3 player when separated into two parts. On the left is the MP3 player; on the right is the battery case.

To open the MP3 player, grasp both ends of the player and pull.

The battery case requires one AAA battery.

The MP3 player can be powered by the AAA battery located in the battery case, by plugging the player directly into an available USB port on your computer, or by plugging the player into the enclosed USB cable, and then plugging the USB cable into the computer's USB port.
