Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I safely disconnect the MP3 player from the computer?A: A: For Microsoft® Windows® 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP, double-click the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Windows systray (circled below), and then follow the on-screen instructions. In Windows XP, a "Safe to Remove Hardware" message should appear near the systray, and the MP3 player stop blinking. It is then safe to disconnect the MP3 player from the computer.
For Windows 98 SE, check to see that the MP3 player displays the following Standby screen before disconnecting the player from the computer.
