Transferring Files to Your Jukebox with Windows Media Player
When you connect your jukebox and computer with the provided USB cable, the computer recognizes your jukebox as an external
hard drive. This means that you can copy a file by selecting the jukebox directly from within Windows Media Player.
Use the following steps to use Windows Media Player 9 to transfer music between your jukebox and computer:
Note: Windows Media Player 9 must be installed on your computer to use these steps. The software can be installed from the Installation CD that came with your Digital Jukebox Player.
- Connect the jukebox to your computer by following the instructions in Connecting the USB cable. You must connect the jukebox to your
computer before starting Windows Media Player.
- From the Start menu, point to All Programs or Programs, and then click Windows Media Player. The Windows Media Player opens.
Note: If you transfer files with Windows Explorer instead of Windows Media Player, you must reconcile the files before your jukebox can play them. Open Windows Media Player, and then in the Gateway DMP-X Music Database dialog box, when prompted to reconcile, click OK.
