Note: In Microsoft® Windows® XP and Windows 2000, you must be logged on with administrative rights to install the program.

The setup procedure is identical for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

  1. Place Gateway Application CD 2 in the CD/DVD drive. The CD runs automatically when Autorun is enabled.

  2. In the System Restoration Kit window, in the Install Options box, click Manual Installation. Select Intel LANDesk Client Manager 6, and then click Install.

  3. In the LANDesk Client Manager Setup dialog box, type the password and then click OK. If the password is not requested, LANDesk does install. However, not all features are available or functioning.

  4. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

  5. In the Software License Agreement dialog box, to accept the terms of the agreement, click Yes.

  6. In the Choose Destination Location dialog box, click Next.

  7. In the Select Program Folder dialog box, click Next.

  8. The Add User dialog box opens, prompting you for the Client Manager's user name and password. Type the appropriate information, and then click Next.

  9. Files copy.

  10. In the Setup Complete dialog box, verify that Yes, I want to restart my computer now, is selected, and then click Finish.
