Media Center 2005 Setup Wizard

The Media Center 2005 Setup Wizard needs to be run the first time Media Center is used on a new computer or after the computer is formatted and reloaded. The wizard sets up the remote control, the Internet connection, the TV signal, and the program Guide.

Note: This is just one example of how to set up Media Center. Depending on your TV signal type and whether you have a set-top box with a remote or not, your setup may differ from that shown. After the initial setup, settings can be reset or changed. Refer to the Media Center Settings for more information.

  1. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, Accessories, Media Center, and then click Media Center.

  2. The Welcome to the Media Center setup wizard screen displays. On the graphic, click the hyperlinks for further information.
