Recovery Media Creator Using Gateway System Recovery Windows XP
Recovery Media Creation is a one time process used to create backup media in the event the recovery partition on the hard drive becomes damaged or the hard drive fails. The media created during this process should be labeled and stored in a safe place.
Note: Currently only CD-R discs can be burned using the Recovery CD/DVD Creator.
- One minute after completing the Out Of Box Experience (OOBE), you are prompted to create recovery media. If you select Remind me later, you are prompted every 24 hours and every time the computer is restarted.
