When should I configure my set top box to use the ENTER key when changing channels?

Only choose to use the ENTER key if your set top box ENTER or OK key does not provide other functions. To test this, use the remote control that came with your set top box and press the ENTER key. Does an on-screen menu appear? If so, you should configure your set top box to not use the ENTER key.

If the ENTER key does not bring up any on screen menus (other than displaying the current channel), then you can try using the ENTER key in your set top box configuration to see if it speeds up channel changes or makes the control of the set top box more reliable.
