Q: Can I record TV if the computer is in standby?

A: Media Center wakes the computer out of standby and allows the scheduled recording to occur. No interaction is needed to make the recording to occur.

Note: If the computer is turned off, the computer will not turn on automatically to record programs.

I am recording a program and I lose power briefly. What will occur after the computer turns back on?

When the computer is turned back on, Media Center starts to record the program that was scheduled and completes the recording as scheduled.
