Q: Why can I not use the fast user switching feature?

A:
Fast User Switching is disabled on computers with 64 megabytes (MB) of memory and computers that are connected to a network domain.

Computers with only 64 MB of memory, that are not connected to a domain, can use the welcome screen to switch users. Fast user switching is disabled so the previous user's applications are closed instead of running in the background.
