- Click Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
- In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
- On the Sytem Restore tab, click and drag the slider to the left until the maximum size of disk space usage is set to 3 percent.
- Click OK.
Note: This procedure minimizes the amount of hard drive space allocated to system restore points. Reducing the size of available hard drive space also reduces the amount of restore points that can be saved.
