Optical Drive

This is a closer view of the Profile 5 computer's optical drive. This example shows a DVD drive installed.

How do I remove and replace the optical drive?

Item Description Function
A Drive activity indicator LED Lights when the drive is active.
B Eject button When the computer is turned on, press to open the disc tray.
C Emergency eject hole When there is no power to the DVD drive, you can use this hole to manually eject the disc tray.
Insert a stiff wire such as a straightened paper clip into the hole.
When resistance is met, press inward to release the drive tray slightly.
Gently pull the tray open.

Note: Do not use the emergency eject method when there is power to the drive.
