- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord and all device cables.
- Observe all electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions.
- If desired for stability, lay the computer screen down.
Note: Before laying the computer screen down, ensure that the work area is smooth and clear of anything that could damage the LCD screen.
- On the rear of the computer, remove the two screws that secure the cover.

- Lift the cover away from the computer.

Replace the cover
- Ensure that all cables and wires are inside the case.
- Align the tabs at the top of the cover with the slots in the rear of the case, and then lower the the cover into place.
- Secure the cover with the two screws.
