Q: Can I use my Media Center remote control in programs other than Windows XP Media Center?

A: It depends on the HID transport codes used by each program. The only way to find out is to try the remote control with a program. However, keep in mind that in programs other than Media Center, it is not unusual that some remote control buttons may work and while others do not.
