Jack |
Description |
| A |
Blaster 1 |
Connect an IR blaster cable to this jack. The IR blaster cable, also known as an IR emitter cable, is used to transfer remote control signals from the Media Center remote control to an IR receiver, such as a cable or satellite set-top box. This connection allows Media Center to change channels on your set-top box. The set-top box must support IR signals. |
| B |
Blaster 2 |
This is an additional jack that has the same functionality as Blaster 1. |
| C |
IR Receiver |
Connect the IR Receiver Cable to this jack. This connection allows the Media Center remote control to communicate with the computer. It is used when the front of the computer is not in line of sight of the remote control. The black bulbous end of the IR receiver cable must be positioned so that it has a clear line of site to the area where the Media Center remote control is used. |
