GT5016f, GT5018fQ: How do I remove and replace the motherboard in the 6-bay micro uBTX case?A: Note: During this process many components are removed and cables are disconnected. Carefully note all device and cable orientations and locations for use in the replacement phase. Creating a diagram can be helpful.
Remove the motherboard
- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the right side panel.
- Remove the front bezel.
- Remove the air duct.
- Carefully lay the computer on its left side.
- Remove all add-in cards.
- Remove all memory modules.
- Inside the case, carefully note all cable connections to the motherboard, and then disconnect all cables.
- Remove the seven screws that secure the motherboard in the computer case.

- Slide the motherboard toward the front of the case a short distance, and then lift it out of the case.
Replace the motherboard
- Lower the motherboard into the case, and then slide it to the rear of the case. The rear ports on the motherboard extend slightly through, or are flush with, the openings at the rear of the case.

- Ensure that the screw holes in the motherboard align with the screw holes in the case, and then secure the motherboard to the case with seven screws.

- Connect cables to the motherboard.
- Replace all memory modules.
- Replace all add-in cards.
- Stand the computer upright.
- Replace the air duct
- Replace the front bezel.
- Replace the right side panel.
- Connect the power cord, and then turn on the computer.
