- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the right side panel.
- Remove the front bezel.
- The front ports assembly is located in the lower third of the front of the computer case.

- Remove the air duct.
- Inside the case, the front ports assembly is located above the hard drive cage and has two cables permanently attached to it.

- Free the front ports assembly cables from the clip on the top of the hard drive cage.

- Follow the cables to their connections on the motherboard. Note the locations, and then disconnect the cables.
- At the front of the computer case, remove the screw that secures the front ports assembly to the case.

- Swing the assembly away from the front of the case, and then remove it.
- Carefully pull the cables through the opening in the front of the case. Ensure that the cables do not snag on internal components.
Replace the front ports assembly
- Route the front ports assembly cables through the opening in the front of the case.
- Insert the tab on the left side of the assembly into the opening on the case, and then swing the assembly into place on the front of the case.
- Secure the front ports assembly to the case with one screw.

- Secure the assembly cables under the clip on the top of the hard drive cage.

- Route the cables through the case, and then connect them to the motherboard.
- Replace the air duct
- Replace the front bezel.
- Replace the right side panel.
- Connect the power cord, and then turn on the computer.
