- Turn off the computer, and then disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the right side panel.
- Remove the front bezel.
- Inside the case, the 3.5-inch drive cage is located near the upper front corner, below the 5.25-inch drive cage. The floppy disk drive is installed in the upper bay of the 3.5-inch cage.
- At the rear of the floppy disk drive, disconnect the power and data cables.
- Remove the two screws that secure the floppy disk drive in the cage.

- Push the drive out through the front of the case.
Replace the floppy disk drive
- At the front of the case, slide the floppy disk drive into the bay until the holes on the side of the drive align with the screw holes in the side of the drive cage.
- Secure the drive in the cage with two screws.

- Connect the data and power cables to the rear of the drive.
- Replace the front bezel.
- Replace the right side panel.
- Connect the power cord, and then turn on the computer.
